Mid Pennine Arts works with all 200 primary and secondary schools in East Lancashire. Education Officers, David Smith and Hannah Kidd, arrange workshops, projects and consultation for any school.

Autumn Term will see the return of our two yearly, Kicking Leaves Children's Literature Festival. This will involve a wide range of workshop opportunities both within schools as well as working with local libraries. Current plans include storytelling and drama workshops in various settings including historical buildings, country parks and graveyards!

Click here to view the Summer Term newsletter which gives you an idea of the workshops and events which we hold each term.  If you would like any further information about the artists involved or future work, please contact Hannah Kidd or David Smith at Mid Pennine Arts on 01282 421986.

Exciting Opportunities!

We are delighted to have received funding from the Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts to deliver a programme of work with 10 schools from across East Lancashire to bring their pupils to the Mechanics Theatre and the Mid Pennine Gallery in Burnley. This is a three year project. During each year, pupils will experience a dramatic performance, and a professional art exhibition as well as working with practitioners in the venues and back in their classroom.
