Scenic Route – Drop In Sessions

Majestic viaducts, dark tunnels, shady groves…  New off-road greenways are using disused railtracks to link communities across Pennine Lancashire.  Find out more about this emerging network at free, drop-in, consultation sessions in Helmshore and Bacup.

LCC cycleways team have organised these events to consult with local people and invite their input on how the routes are developed.  Mid Pennine Arts is collaborating with the LCC team to animate the sessions, which will feature Huckleberry Films and artist Cath Ford.  You can have your say at Huckleberry’s informal video booth, and explore your own part of the route while helping fill in Cath’s giant floor map.  And if you have questions or comments, the LCC cycleways team will be all ears.

MPA is delighted to be collaborating on this long-term vision for sustainable transport.  As they develop, we aim to introduce a creative dimension to these brilliant future facilities for walkers, cyclists and riders of all ages and abilities.
