Shopkeepers

‘Shopkeepers’ took place in Pendle in summer 2005 and was the pilot project for the Talking Shop programme. Working with artist Gavin Parry, a series of social-documentary photographs of shops and their keepers were compiled in a souvenir postcard pack and were also the subject of an exhibition at the Mid Pennine Gallery.
Filmed interviews with the shopkeepers formed a soundtrack to the exhibition.
